This was not my first kindsknopf wrap. If you ever tried a kindsknopf, you easily get hooked. They have a really awesome grip. It came floppy out of the bag. The quality is awesome and it's really hard to pull any threads. The weave it really tight together what I love about this brand. This is the most heavy wrap I did ever work with. I used it first time, we went to my older kids swim class. I used the easy ruck since my toddler loves to tun away from me. I did NOT feel her weight at all. I was so blown away. I also tried some different carries with her. It was a little difficult so get it over my daughters shoulder so I had to practice a couple of times. It's perfect for heavier children and a easy care wrap. What do you need more?! The colors are not really my style but I love, love, love the butterflies <3 I hope I will own a kindsknopf pina in my favorite colors one day. I would not put a little squish in a heavy wrap like this though, just my oppinion ;-) .

Happy Babywearing !!!!

Pellicano Pastell

Pellicano Pastell

Color: Rainbow

Linen 30% Cotton 70%

HEAVY - unknown weight

 LIMITED EDITION

Whatever you may have heard about this wrap, it’s most likely true. This is definitely one of the most awesome wraps I own. I was one of the lucky ladies who had to, “hunt one down”. I admit, it was beyond a beast, when I got it. It reminded me of my grandma’s old linen we use to wash, hang up and iron many times. That’s right. I slept in linen sheets, when I stayed with Oma (Grandmother). And just like those linen sheets, the Pastell wrap was nice and sturdy. So sturdy, that one could use it as a tow strap to pull an 18-Wheeler.  ;-)  The weaving is so tightly knit together; it seems almost unbreakable and took me a long time to break it in. Another great quality is that, it’s warm in winter, but cool in summer.

One negative, but not a game changer, is that the Pastell wrap is rather slippery prior to breaking it in.So, to my fellow baby wearers, if you have the opportunity to purchase a used one, TAKE IT! The colors are stunning and the Pellicano Pastell linen is absolutely not over rated. I would NOT recommend Pastell for, tiny newborns, even after one breaks it in. If anybody does mention rainbow, that’s what I think of.

Pellicano Pastell…please provide more of your heavy wraps pellicano baby <3

I was fortunate enough to win my first draw, in March 2015. This was huge for me, because you win the right to purchase one of most expensive/high quality wraps on the market. This used to be the only way to acquire the Kindsknopf brand, but now you can purchase them directly on the website. The issue is you must be quick. So I won the right to buy  the beautiful Kindsknopf MiNazar Raspberry wrap. This wrap was my first Kindsknopf and definitely not my last. <3
I also had Kindsknopf Carlos living with me for a while.

Kindsknopf offers very high quality wraps that are known for not being made from any animal based products. I prefer these wraps for their thickness, which provides more stability to my toddler. Another plus for me would be an already broken one, but this is not a must have.
I received the beautiful International Tester Wrap about 10 days ago. For one week used it for every situation I could think of: cleaning around the house; grocery shopping; and even walking around the neighborhood, just to name a few. ;-) While using it, I did not feel my daughter’s weight at all. Not even on our longer walks. I would even compare it to one of my Madalo handwoven wraps for its same softness. <3 Another unique twist was the change to Kindsknopf packaging. Before, the wraps were placed in a pretty box as pictured below.

These boxes are really cute, stylish and special, but I haven’t had much luck with them during shipping. For example, I received some boxes that were damage. Just imagine an elephant stepping on one. Kindsknopf wraps now come in really nice bags and no elephant damage with these so far :-p
The bags come with instructions and even a little chart on the last page, where you can leave your name and date you received the wrap. Since this was a tester, I wasn't sure if I should do this, so I chose not to :x
A few other surprises (once opening my package) were: how heavy the
Vertigo felt, yet it was so soft and floppy.

None of my previous wraps compared to this one. It’s very hard to pull strings and is an Easy Care wrap, which is a huge plus for me.

At first look, I was not fan of the design, but after taking a closer look, it’s awesome. Talk about a 3-D-effect. I didn’t noticed this until my husband said he felt dizzy while looking at it…but how much we listen to our husbands when it's about wraps. :-p
The one dislike for me was the width. I prefer my wraps a little wider.

Compared to the Kindsknopf Barbie wrap, it’s just slightly narrower, but still enough material to work with. It might not be much of a difference, but I personally feel it’s easier to manage a little more fabric. ;-)
The design and color seems to work well with everything like jeans or something really nice for an upcoming special event. It was a tremendous pleasure to use this wrap and it will be missed from my collection. ;-)

My daughter fell asleep a couple of times in this wrap so it definitely has
some sleepy dust. ;-)
All my pictures have copyright and I do not allow to take them.

Oscha Starry Night Serrae

Oscha Starry Night Serrae

Color: pink/purple/white

50% organic combed cotton, 25% wild silk and 25% cotton

Fabric Weight:  Medium (Approx - 246 g/m² )

Oscha Starry Night Serrae was my first silk wrap. I did a lot of research before getting this wrap. ;-) I was pretty nervous prior to getting it because everyone says silk requires more care and caution. I prefer easy wraps since my toddler likes to eat while I carry. When it arrived, I was very surprised. First it was not super soft as I expected, for it to be silk. I could barely tell that is was silk. One reason for that might be from the combed cotton. The second thing was its weird smell. Several individuals told me silk wraps are none for initially having strange smells. So I washed this wrap 5 times and let it air dry each time to ensure I didn’t mess it up. To my surprise the wrapped proved to be very sturdy. It’s easier to work with and has a little more grip than expected. This could also be from the combed cotton. Since then, I’ve had no wrapping issues with it and the smell is completely gone. The weave is amazingly close together, so I’m not afraid to pull any strings. The Starry Night Serrae is an incredible Oscha wrap that I would recommend for newborns and toddler.

Pellicano Zoya Marama

                    Pellicano Zoya Marma

                      Color: green/orange/white

                     Material: 100% cotton

Fabric Weight:  Medium (Approx - 270 g/m² prewash)

                       LIMITED EDITION

Oh, how I love my Pellicano wraps. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their stunning colors. If you love rainbows, you will definitely love Pellicano. Pellicano is famous for having high quality wraps, along with great customer service. The Marama was my first rainbow in white-leopard print. The unique thing I like is one can wear the wraps between top or bottom sides up and both look different. It almost gives the illusion of having two wraps in one. J  This Pellicano wrap come soft out of the bag. I also love the Pellicano bags with different patterns. The Pellicano Marama seems like the stitching/threading (weaving) is looser than others. This is not a negative opinion; I highlight this to inform others to be careful because it’s easier to cause loose strings (pulls). The Marama is not as tight and stiff like my other Pellicanos: the Pastell and Tenebris which seem to be immune to pulls. The Marama feels great on my shoulders, similar to a really comfy blanket.  The one thing I’m not a big fan of are the huge, safety instructions attached to the wrap. Some people cut them off but I just deal with it. They get softer with each wash, so it’s not too big of a deal. I recommend using the Pellicano Marama for little babies and toddlers. It’s even great for the easy rucksack carry.
Go Pellicano <3

Smittens Vena Cava - Melanzana

Smittens Vena Cava - Melanzana

Color: Eggplant & EcruMaterial: 100% cotton
Fabric Weight:  Medium (Approx - 260 g/m² prewash)

I received the Smittens Vena Cava - Melanzana wrap about 2 weeks ago. From the very first time seeing those cute, tiny hearts, I began following the Smittens history. I was following the wrap on http://5mr.com/ and wasn't sure about its thickness. My toddler is not that tiny no more, so I prefer thicker wraps when I carry her. There are times when I carry her for up to 3 hours and thin wraps hurt and leave marks on my arms. After following Smittens’ FB page, they finally advertised a sale. The wrap I chose was advertised as 260 g/m²-prewashed. So I figured I would give it a try. Shipping was quick and they even enclosed a cute little book and washing/wearing instructions with my wrap. <3 thank you. :-) My first impression was, it felt quite stiff and really thin when I unwrapped it. But that changed after I gave it a wash. The wash actually changed the texture and I was blown away by the width of the wrap. This is the widest wrap I ever worked with so far and I absolutely love it. I use the double hammock with my daughter a lot and it was quiet difficult first. I thought my arm wasn't long enough the get the fabric all over her butt. lol
I really do LOVE this wrap and I'm quite surprised about the quality. The texture is really nice and the weave is tight so it feels safe for pulling. It didn't take too long to break it in and there was no braiding necessary. Another reason I like this wrap is that it’s in a decent price range. So please, keep it going. This is perfect for newbies who don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a wrap. I would recommend this wrap for a little squish and toddler. I'm not sure if I would buy a shorty for my toddler if I would do a single layer wrap technique like the ER but it's perfect for double layer. I did choose a "plain" color because it just goes perfect with everything. There are some more great colors and other patterns on their page.
